Getting started and events

Do I need an account?

No. Guest events stay on your device and may be lost after uninstalling or losing it. After signing in, approve the prompt to move local events into the account; sign-in alone does not approve migration. Use Retry if items fail, and confirm sync finishes before changing devices.

How do I create, edit or delete an event?

Tap + in the event list, enter a title and target date, and save. You can configure counting mode, time, category, recurrence, notes, photos and reminders. Check the preview. Counting mode and include-today settings can change the result. Mark an event as important in its detail screen and use the Important filter. Delete from event details and confirm; iOS also offers a long-press delete menu in the list.

Calendar and themes

Use Calendar to browse months and select dates to inspect events. Recurrence/counting settings affect dates and countdowns. Card customization in event creation/editing changes that event, while Settings → Appearance → Theme Color changes app colors. Options depend on free, PRO or rewarded access.

How do rewarded themes work?

For an eligible theme, voluntarily complete a rewarded ad to receive access to that selected theme for currently 3 days, not all themes or lifetime PRO. Rewatching grants 3 days from completion without accumulating days; a later existing expiry is preserved. Cancelled/incomplete ads may yield no reward; retry if loading fails. Expiry may restrict new application/customization but does not delete saved events. Guest rewards depend on local storage; signed-in rewards may sync late during outages.

Widgets

iOS: hold an empty Home Screen area and choose Add Widget from its edit controls, then select about days and a size. Menu names/locations vary by OS.

Android: hold your Home Screen and find about days in Widgets, or request addition from Settings → General → Widgets. Some launchers do not support automatic pinning.

On supported iOS versions, hold the Lock Screen and choose Customize → widget area → about days. Equivalent Android Lock Screen widgets are not guaranteed.

If an event is missing, check its widget selection in event details. iOS supports up to 10 selected events, but visible count depends on widget size. Open the app to refresh data or re-add the widget; OS refresh/power policies can delay updates.

Reminders

  1. Allow about days notifications in device settings.
  2. Enable app reminders and choose reminder points (D-Day, D-1, etc.) for the event. Events with reminders off are not sent.
  3. Check time zone and event reminder time. Past reminder points may not be newly scheduled.
  4. Check Focus/Do Not Disturb, power saving and Android background restrictions. Server/network availability also affects signed-in reminders.

Change the default time in Settings → Notifications. An event-specific reminder time takes priority; otherwise the default is used. After changing time zones, open the app to refresh environment/schedules.

Guest reminders are local; signed-in reminders use the server. iOS local scheduling has a limit, so nearer reminders are prioritized. Server delivery is also subject to permission, network and OS limits; keep a separate record of critical dates.

PRO and purchases

Basic events, calendars, widgets, reminders, statistics and account sync are free. List banner ads are currently disabled; rewarded theme ads are separate. Ad placement availability may change with app configuration.

PRO Lifetime Access is a one-time purchase for currently offered premium themes, custom app colors and PRO card options without time limits. No rewarded ads or 3-day theme unlocks are needed. There is no automatic renewal or monthly charge; monthly and yearly subscriptions are not currently sold. Theme counts can change with updates. Check actual price and benefits in the purchase and store confirmation screens.

Use Settings → Support → Restore Purchases with the original Apple account on iOS or Google Play account on Android. App login alone does not guarantee cross-platform purchase transfer/sharing. If prices fail to load, check network/store accounts and retry. Pending payments may not grant access until confirmed.

Request refunds through Apple or Google Play. Manage any legacy subscription renewal/cancellation separately through its store.

Account, data and support

Read published notices in Settings → Support → Announcements. Startup shows one latest eligible notice selected by the administrator. Close hides it for this run; Don't show today hides that notice for the device's local calendar day. It may appear again when you launch on a later day.

Sign in with the same app account to retrieve server-synced events; confirm migration/sync before changing devices. Offline use shows locally stored events, but sign-in, sync, ads and purchases require connectivity. Open the app after reconnecting to check the latest state.

Request account deletion via Settings → Account → Delete Account. Signing out/uninstalling does not delete the server account. See the Privacy Policy for deletion scope, residual data and retention. Immediate deletion of every uploaded photo/backup copy is not guaranteed. Account deletion does not automatically refund purchases or cancel subscriptions.

Use Settings → Support → Contact Support or email contact@joonielabs.com. Include device model, OS/app version, affected feature and error details, but never passwords or authentication tokens.
